OUR PHILANTHROPY
Philanthropy is engrained in the lives of each of Kappa Phi Gamma's sisters. The Founders of Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc. chose cancer awareness as the sorority's national philanthropy. The Founders realized almost all of them had been affected by cancer in one way or another. This reiterated to the Founders that cancer is a disease that does not discriminate. They believed it was important to advocate and raise awareness to all manifestations of cancer. Our sorority has supported various cancer-related organizations since we were founded.

C.A.R.E. Week stands for Cancer Awareness: a Real Effort! Our national philanthropy week is typically held in April for national cancer awareness month. Sisters nationwide plan C.A.R.E. Week at their respective schools to raise awareness and funds for a local organization. Events for C.A.R.E Week have included everything from a kick-off rally, volleyball tournaments, and our annual Mr. C.A.R.E. Pageant! Our sisters also hold a candlelight vigil in memory of those who have lost their lives to cancer. All the money raised during C.A.R.E Week is donated to a non-profit organization. To date, Kappa Phi Gamma has raised $98,000+ and has donated her services to over 40 different charities.

We would like to thank our corporate sponsors in Richmond for making these events possible. Kappa Phi Gamma on a national level has raised and donated over $98,000. We hope you will join Kappa Phi Gamma in the fight against cancer. No deed is too big or too small, and all are appreciated. Whether you can contribute monetarily or lend a helping hand, there is always someone in need. If you would like to support our cause or are interested in further ways to get involved, please feel free to contact us at kphigtheta@gmail.com.
